Hi, my name is Kathryn Wilkinson. I build things for the web.
Hello! My name is Kathryn I'm a full stack web developer with an affinity for front-end design. My interest in web development started at the beginning of 2020 when the pandemic emerged. On awarded scholarship, I completed a MERN Stack bootcamp with Trilogy - now edX - in 2021. And being a millennial - having grown up along-side the birth of the internet - turned out to a be surprising advantage while honing the skill.
Fast-forward to today, I now have the privilege of guiding other hopefuls through the web development bootcamp experience. My main focus at work these days is building more efficient, user-friendly documents & systems to organize & distribute information, tools, & resources for students and staff, and performing as lead instructor.
I've also recently been coordinating the development, editing, and implementation of a reusable curriculum for the JWD and JFS Programs - and of course there are always a few side projects!
Here are a few technologies I've been working with recently:
Featured Project
Utilized the MERN stack to create an application that allows a business to effectively manage their WorkForce while streamlining communication between administrators and their employees.
Featured Project
This application uses third party API's which allow the user to view detailed, regularly updated and complete statistics. Providing users the ability to easily asses the current COVID climate between multiple regions.
Featured Project
A weather application that allows a user to search the weather outlook for multiple cities in the US. Includes current weather conditions and a 5 day forecast.
Featured Project
A back-end Command Line Interface Employee Content-Management-System for managing company database information. Enables you to view and manage departments, roles, and employees quickly and easily.
Featured Project
Utilized MySQL, Jest, and Bootstrap to create a CLI application that prompts for a team’s employee information then generates an HTML webpage displaying summaries for each employee within the team.
Featured Project
This project possesses all the back-end elements of an e-commerce platform, including: a working Express.js API, sequelize models interacting with a MySQL database, and working routes.
